Awards and Accolades
As I was growing up, I admired the passion my mom brought to her work with children with special needs. She made a meaningful difference in their lives, and I was inspired to make the same kind of impact. After graduating, I began substituting at the school where she worked, supporting children with special needs while continuing my own education. I earned my associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and never looked back. I have now worked in early childhood for over 27 years, and have served as a director for more than 10.
