Position Overview
The Director of Marketing is a senior leader who oversees day-to-day marketing operations, team performance, vendor relations, and campaign results. Responsibilities also include leading the execution of New Horizon Academy’s marketing and enrollment strategy across all locations. This role translates organizational strategy into actionable plans, campaigns, and systems that drive enrollment growth, brand consistency, and family engagement.
The Director is a strategic partner to leadership, guiding brand vision, optimizing marketing processes, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals while mentoring and developing a high-performing team. The role also includes representing the organization publicly and internally by effectively communicating in meetings and events.
Essential Job Functions
Marketing Execution & Brand Consistency
- Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with NHA’s mission, brand standards, and enrollment goals.
- Ensure consistent brand identity, messaging, and quality across all locations and platforms.
- Oversee campaign development, timelines, and deliverables.
- Maintain accuracy and compliance of all public-facing marketing materials.
- Foster creative problem-solving and innovation across campaigns and initiatives.
Enrollment Support & Lead Management
- Partner with Operations, and School Leaders to support enrollment goals.
- Oversee lead generation and conversion efforts across digital and local channels.
- Monitor enrollment funnels and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Support enrollment campaigns tied to seasonal, location-specific, or organizational priorities.
- Apply data-driven decision-making and analytic thinking to guide marketing strategies.
Digital, Local & Community Marketing
- Oversee website content, digital advertising, email marketing, social media, and listings.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across digital maps, directories, and third-party platforms.
- Support location-level marketing needs and community outreach initiatives.
- Coordinate marketing support for new center openings or enrollment recovery efforts.
- Build strong community and external relationships to enhance brand reputation.
- Serve as a public-facing and internal representative of NHA, presenting at internal leadership meetings and events.
Team Leadership & Vendor Management
- Lead, coach, and develop the Marketing team.
- Set clear priorities, performance expectations, and accountability structures.
- Manage external vendors, agencies, and freelancers within approved scope.
- Support onboarding and training for marketing-related roles.
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence, empathy, and adaptability in managing teams and stakeholders.
Systems, Reporting & Optimization
- Oversee day-to-day use of CRM and marketing systems.
- Track campaign performance, enrollment metrics, and lead data.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to executive leadership.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency, clarity, and scalability.
- Exhibit strong-problem solving, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive marketing experience
- Proven experience leading teams and managing execution across multiple channels
- Strong working knowledge of digital marketing, branding, and analytics, with the ability to assess data and make informed recommendations
- Must be adaptable to various competing priorities with attention to detail
- Ability to hold brand integrity at the highest standards
- Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
- High emotional intelligence and empathy to foster collaborative, supportive work environment.
- Ability to lead through influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Agile, adaptable, and solution-oriented in dynamic environments.
- Results-driven with strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
